1 Chandigarh to Rishikesh / Haridwar

3 Govindghat to Ghangaria
After breakfast, begin the trek towards Ghangaria.
Ghangaria is the principal base for the Hemkund Sahib and Valley of Flowers routes. Uttarakhand Tourism describes Ghangaria as a popular trekking base and the last human settlement on the way to the Valley of Flowers.
The route offers beautiful views of mountains, waterfalls, forests and streams. After reaching Ghangaria, check in and rest for the next day's important pilgrimage.

4 Ghangaria to Sri Hemkund Sahib and Back
Start early after breakfast for the trek from Ghangaria towards Sri Hemkund Sahib. The trail becomes steeper as you gain altitude, so travellers should maintain a comfortable pace and take adequate rest.
At Hemkund Sahib, spend time at the sacred Gurudwara and experience the peaceful surroundings of Hemkund Lake and the surrounding Himalayan peaks.
The official Uttarakhand Tourism route information confirms that the final approach from Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib is a steep trek, with assistance options such as palki and mule services available depending on local operations.
After darshan and sufficient rest, return to Ghangaria.

5 Ghangaria to Govindghat / Joshimath
After breakfast, trek back from Ghangaria towards Govindghat.
On reaching Govindghat, continue by cab towards Joshimath. Depending on the travel plan, you can relax and explore the surrounding area before checking into your hotel.
Joshimath is an important Himalayan town and a convenient overnight stop on the return journey.

6 Joshimath to Rishikesh / Haridwar
